The Foundation greatly appreciate the selfless non-profit group called The COIN Group who made a donation of school supplies to support our ongoing child labour project. The CHF team present the supplies to the rescued child labourers in the various schools where we are currently offering them scholarship to school. These supplies has been a great help to the children and the foundation.
On the 15th of March 2011, the Cheerful Hearts Foundation launched a project on Child labour at the Nyanyano community in the Awutu Senya District, Ghana to do background research on Child labour issues. The aim of this project is to identify and rescue children who are involved in fishing to make a living due to extreme poverty and as a result has been denied the right to education. The foundation will provide a full scholarship to 30 rescued children or more in the first phase of this project to enable these children to have access to education and a hope for the future.
